One-of-a-kind creative textile Art made with the finest natural Fibres, Colour and Love ***

Welcome to the works of fibre artist Tina Schurhammer

Felting is the most ancient form of textile art and predates weaving and spinning techniques.
Felt making is making fabric by locking together fibres (generally wool) using friction and moisture.
This is the traditional 'wet' felting technique.
In a nutshell: Wet felting is the process of combining layers of wool roving and/or wool yarns into one flat piece of felt fabric. This is what folks think about as the traditional or oldest felting method.
Nuno felting is the process of felting wool roving and/or wool yarns onto another fabric.

I invite you to visit https://felt.co.nz/shop/fibrefusion for more of my artist made wet-felted objects and gifts.
