Wilding started with a desire to dress one little special person in clothes that are environmentally and ethically sustainable, but also that let his personality shine through while he explores his world filled with wonder.

Our philosophy is a multifaceted one - We wanted to make clothing that was unisex, that let the childs' personality shine, was as unique as the person wearing it, and was easily teamed with other pieces. Yet we also wanted to wrap our babies in cloth that contained no nasty chemicals, cloth that was sustainably grown, and ethically produced; cloth that didn't put any more pressure on an already stressed earth. We wanted this cloth to be durable enough to stand the test of childhood, and able to be passed down to younger generations.

The Slow Fashion movement is one that as a family we have watched grow as our family has grown and one that we are passionate about participating in. Slow Fashion is the movement of designing, creating, and buying garments for quality and longevity. It encourages slower production schedules, fair wages, lower carbon footprints, and (ideally) zero waste - and it is one that we are devoted too. Quality over Quantity any day.

We love knowing that we are sourcing materials that are Ethically sourced - a process that supports fair wages and working conditions for those growing and manufacturing our fabrics, and also one that is free from nasty chemicals that have adverse effects on the natural environment where their grown and produced.
