If you appreciate true craft, we will get along. I have been creating knitted fabrics for many years. In the past at a London design studio for the fashion industry. My work has sold to high street chains like Marks and Spencer and top end designers such as Donna Karen. Much fun was had creating special work for catwalk shows with experiments ranging from knitting silver pieces for decoration with enamel, distressing cashmeres with bleached effects for my own gallery collections as well as work for fashion labels, including Alexander Mcqueen.

My own accessories label sold to some 30 boutiques and department stores in the Uk, Europe, New York and Hong Kong.

My Partner is a Kiwi and New Zealand has been my home for 15 years now. I have taught fashion and textile design at Massey and Ucol. We live in Rural Manawatu.

I do everything on a small domestic machine now, drawing little patterns on graph paper, hand manipulating stitch work
or playing with a kind of free flow process, colour mixing like a painting as I go.

Each piece I knit has a story. My inspiration comes from years as a textiles geek, all the beauty around me and experience in the trend industry. Quite often an old fabric or woven textile will be my starting point. sometimes I make a piece with an unknown owner in mind. I love it when a customer finds the right scarf or wrap and doesn't want to take it off.
More recently, commissions have been based on Nz native birds and plants or just custom produced to match a client's wardrobe.
All of my yarns are from the luxury top end of the fashion industry, sourced from the best Italian spinners.

This shop is an experiment for me as you can't try on as you would in a gallery or boutique. Because of this I will have a good returns policy to start off with. (Please see notes about that.)

I hope you enjoy looking through and would love to hear what you think. Feedback is most welcome and I love chatting about commission ideas .
Thank you so much for your time.
