I used to make herbal soaps & balms etc but increasing physical disability left me unable to do that. Desperate for something to fill my time and missing a creative outlet I became drawn to stone painting initially just for children, I discovered a style I found meditative for me to paint and I think offers something different to others out there.

My long suffering husband goes and finds my stones for me now :) We have always collected stones, shells and "treasures" from the beaches around our home on the east cost of the South Island (between Blenheim and Kaikoura) and I love to paint mostly flowers coming from a love of vintage/hippy style floral anythings! I love the look of the soft shimmery colours on stone, each gold or silver outline is then finely outlined in black ink so they take alot more time than they would appear to.

The suncatchers etc are made MOSTLY from collected broken jewellery or particularly nice glass and metal beads and findings I have hoarded over the years. All the crystal drops are new.

As we live rurally and I can't get around well, all parcels are posted NZ post at our tiny local shop.
