Minnow designs and manufactures beautiful, functional lampshades in The Bay of Plenty. As much as possible, we use renewable, sustainable and recyclable materials and engage local firms to manufacture our components.

Our lampshades are manufactured using plantation grown, renewable New Zealand pine and macrocarpa veneer. Our fastening clips are lasercut from bamboo, the lampholders are crafted from reclaimed copper wire and the pins are turned out of copper.

By using local people, we can not only keep a close eye on quality control, but we are also playing our part in supporting the local business community.
