KABIN is a brand created by designer and maker Kerri-Ann Gray. Based in the South Island of New Zealand she creates small batch handmade colourful heirloom quality patchwork quilted coats, jackets and accessories.

Kerri-Ann has been sewing, making and creating her own clothes since she got a sewing machine at the age of 13. After moving back to Aotearoa with her partner Ben, and son Angus in 2020 she decided to turn her passion into something more than a hobby, and KABIN was born.

Why the name KABIN? Kerri-Ann began working on her brand at her parent’s place in a little house they have always called The Cabin. The Cabin is nestled amongst pine trees, which is where she got the rust brown colour from for her logo, it’s the colour of fallen pine needles. She now has her own little 10m2 solar powered cabin behind her family house on the side of a hill in beautiful Ngatimoti, Motueka Valley.
