Hi, my name is Nana and I came from Japan to New Zealand 10 plus years ago. When I started my new life here I was often asked about Japan and Japanese culture and then I realised I didn't know much about my own country. However, I always had an interest in kimonos and loved their beautiful textile especially vintage ones, which are amazing works of art. At the same time I felt very sad they were no more worn in everyday life and many were just sleeping on old shelves.

Now my passion is to give vintage kimonos new lives and let them shine again by my creations. Compared to cutting into a roll of new fabrics, upcycling needs a lot of extra work, however I believe it is worthwhile work to pass on the beauty of Japanese Kimonos to the next generations and share it with people all over the world in the form of wearable and useful items. I am proud that all material are carefully chosen and imported from Japan by myself and I try my very best to make full use of these material and make no waste for our precious environment.
I hope you will enjoy my products with their own histories.
