Unique Plant dyed Silk Scarf - 90x90 cm

This silk scarf was eco-printed, using plants and leaves from my garden.

This scarf is luxurious 100% Crepe satin silk with hand-rolled edging and eco-printed with Pohutukawa flowers and leaves,
Hen& Chicken leaves, She-oak and Prince of orange flowers resulting in stunning purple colours and fine detailed lines and patterns of print.

Size: square about 90 x90 cm

Comes in a silver organza bag with washing instructions.

The eco-dyeing/and-printing process involves bundling actual leaves, flowers, stems or vegetable food waste (e.g. onion skins) in fabric, applying heat and steam, and resulting in a sustainably created, one-of-a-kind item.

The colours in the scarf come from the leaves themselves and feature purples, dark grey, and brown, light mustard, light blue, light green and beige shades and patterns and are permanent.

This scarf is a one-of-a-kind work of wearable art.
