Marokopa Falls lightshow - abstract landscape

This is an original mixed media work inspired by the New Zealand landscape. Recently I have been to the West Coast of the South Island, visited the Lake Tekapo area, and around the Marokopa beach settlement then inland through to the Awakino River on the west coast of the North Island. These memories, interspersed with the South Taranaki landscape which I see daily on my drive to work, combine in my memory to inspire abstracted landscapes.

I have used artist quality acrylic paints on Hahnemuhle Bamboo mixed media paper, combined with my own gelli printed papers. I have used fluro pink and yellow, which are notoriously hard to scan well - the work is a little brighter than shown. The work is approx 10x15cm in a 15x20cm white matt The work is initialed on the front, the title and signature are in pen on the back.
