Shizzle's fleece - white romney hogget roving
Shizzle is very much your standard white romney - except she's carrying a secret colour gene that lets her have coloured lambs. She's also got a very nice fleece, courtesy of her mother who was one of our foundation ewes. We don't sell a lot of white wool and it has to be extra nice to make it into our shop. This is Shizzle's hogget fleece.
The wool is quite strong and you'd have to be quite thick skinned to wear it comfortable next to your skin. It is however very suitable for rugged outerwear, hats, socks, blankets and the like - and because it's white it will also be good for dyeing. It would make lovely felt.
