Stepping stones: mixed media artwork

This is an unframed mixed media artwork on Hahnemuhle Bamboo or Fabriano Mixed media heavy weight paper. The work uses collage, paint, ink and pencil. The colours are predominantly grey, cream and blue, with gold and burgundy accents. The work is 42cm wide and 30cm deep; it is signed in pencil on the back, along with the title and date.

As with my landscapes and daily faces, these works are a response to my inner world, my emotions and my memories. I create in series, working across multiple images, layering collage, stencils and paint, before adding final line work.

I have an Advanced Diploma of Art & Creativity (Honours) from The Learning Connection. My work can be found in private collections worldwide, and I have exhibited in Italy (2010) and throughout New Zealand.
