Spring - a knitted rag rug

This rag rug has been handknitted on oversize thick dowel needles. The yarn was made from recycled cotton and polycotton bedsheets and a valance. The fabric was torn into long thin strips before being wound into balls and knitted.
The edge of the rug has been crocheted to prevent the rug rolling up on itself and to provide extra interest.

This rag rug is soft and comfortable to walk on. It would look particularly good in a little girl's bedroom.

It will wear well and can be machine washed. Dry flat and push into shape while damp.
