100g skein of sportweight merino wool yarn 250metres
Size 3.50-4.00mm knitting needles.
This has been hard to photograph but it's a rich green blue that changes with the light.
Goes beautifully with the lighter 'Jellyweed'.
Hand dyed with plant dyes in my tiny dyeshed.
I use Alum for a mordant and mordant my yarns a few days before I dye to achieve good colour and the best dye fastness. My yarns are washed after dyeing with a mild ph neutral detergent and well rinsed.
Dark colours may still release a little surplus dye in the next wash and this is perfectly normal.
