A necklace made as requested, with brown waxed cord.
The shark tooth is wrapped with copper based, silver-coloured wire that shows signs of age: the copper is starting to peek through where the silver colouring has worn away. The five soft, thin leather strips were cut from old leather scraps that would have been thrown away. They vary in length and are cut slightly unevenly, which adds to the rustic, primitive look of the pendant.
This necklace is lightweight, and the pendant measures just over 18cm from top to bottom. The shark tooth is 20mm wide and 24mm long, not including the wire-wrapping.
Leather is pliable and can be creased. Storing this necklace hanging will help the leather strips to keep their shape.
