Woodland Berries: Autumnal skeleton-leaf necklace with red berry cluster
Three scarlet berries, bright against an Autumn skeleton leaf, form the pendant of this nature-inspired necklace. The berries and leaf hang from an antiqued-brass coloured, curb style chain.
The red berries are 'miracle beads' or 'wonder beads'. A miracle bead has an acrylic core with a silver mirror-plate finish, which is coated with several layers of coloured lacquer. In effect, the bead is a spherical mirror, reflecting its outer surface, creating the illusion of a bead within a bead.
This effect can only be seen in certain light. The rest of the time the bead simply appears to glow with colour — in this case, a brilliant, eye-catching scarlet.
