The Silvan which was once a beautiful art gallery and cafe in Selwyn Street, Christchurch unfortunately taken by the Earthquake has now resurrected as a small team doing all they can to save and re purpose beautiful timbers hand salvaged from damaged buildings.

Everything is lovingly handmade having been frame makers for over 20 years each piece has its own character and place of origin. You can find the wood type and history of where it has come from, written on the back of each frame or box.

We strongly believe in minimizing waste and reusing what we can to make something practical yet beautiful and full of soul.

RECYCLE. REUSE. RE PURPOUSE
