**********

I started my foray into woodwork and furniture making in 2007 on Waiheke Island. I was inspired to try woodworking at community education night classes after learning how to build timber retaining walls in my garden. After several years of hobbyist woodworking I decided to retrain in 2012 taking a full time furniture maker’s course at the Centre for Fine Woodworking in Nelson.

Being a child of the 70s I was inspired by the Wombles and I am passionate about using recycled materials and maximising the use of offcuts giving these a new life in fine up-cycled projects. I also like to work with sustainably grown timbers both native and exotics.

Now based on the Coromandel Peninsula, I am available for commissions, made to measure anything. Nationwide freight can be arranged.
I am a member of the Mercury Bay Art Escape which has an open studio tour every year in March. My studio is also open to visitors year round by appointment.
