A new fibre artwork of houses in a hillside village. Most of my stitched villages are tidy and symmetrical; I thought it would be fun to stitch a crooked village for a change. The houses are stitched in black embroidery cotton, with roofs and doors in shades of purple with a touch of pink, and green foliage. The stitching is on silver-grey furnishing fabric and framed in a bevelled white frame.

This is the 16th in my "Quirky Villages" series of fibre artworks. A percentage of each QUIRKY VILLAGE fibre art sale will be donated to Women's Refuge.

Main colours: Black, purple, mauve, pink
Method: embroidery stitches including long and cross stitch
Fibres: Embroidery cotton
Canvas: furnishing fabric

Size - approximate: Frame 25 x 20 cm Visible artwork 16.5 x 12 cm
Frame: white bevel with no mat board
Display: Frame has a stand attached, and hook for wall hanging; I can add D-rings and cord on request.

Price includes packaging and standard (tracked parcel) postage within New Zealand; courier would cost extra.

Designed and handcrafted by Bronwyn Angela White in a smoke-free and pet-free home on Kapiti Coast.
