This beautiful serum is made from hibiscus flowers and Kawakawa leaves.

Rich, nourishing, moisturising and rejuvenatiing- plump out fine lines and wrinkles, reduce dryness, helps fight the signs of aging, reduces the appearance of age spots and sun damage, increases collagen levels.


Suitable for all skin types- a little goes a long way.



Ingredients:
Kawakawa leaves and hibiscus flowers and leaves infused in avocado oil, jojoba oil, apricot kernel oil, organic rose hip oil and vitamin E.


Directions: apply 4-5 drops on clean skin, daily.

(texture is light but rich, start with a small application)

Kawakawa (Macropiper excelsum) family: Piperaceae

The Kawakawa tree has always played an important role in the Maori spiritual and physical world- tracing the lifecycle from birth to death. It has a spiritual heart- assisting us to move forward without interruption.

Traditionally used for hundreds of years as Rongoa for its healing properties in a wide range of treatments such as burns, rashes, toothaches and to reduce swelling.

Kawakawa has a powerful ability to naturally restore balance to the skin via molecules known as Lignans which are powerful antioxidants that help to boost healthy skin cell growth and repair damaged skin cells.

It contains myristicin, an active compound that stimulates human cells to release nitric oxide to help fight inflammation. Kawakawa has a detoxifying effect, naturally drawing out impurities and calming redness. Because of its high concentration of linoleic acid it also helps to promote collagen production, aids acne prevention, shrink pimples, and improve the skins elasticity.

The medicinal qualities of Kawakawa help strengthen the skin, restoring natural hydration to dry skin and balancing oily skin making it suitable for all skin types.

Hibiscus (Rosa - sinensis) family: Malvaceae

Hibiscus flowers are rich in antioxidants called anthocyanins which fight free radicals reducing inflammation and preventing the skin from ageing.

It also has saponins (natural surfactants) that cleanse the skin in the process. The flowers also contain natural alpha hydroxyl acids (AHA) which help to purify and restore and improve the complexion by breaking down dead skin cells and controlling breakouts.

Known for being a ‘natural Botox’ Hibiscus can hydrate, lift, exfoliate and tighten the skin. The flower is rich in vitamin C which helps boost its collagen production. Hibiscus can the leave the skin feeling refreshed and more supple over time.

Avocado oil:

Moisturising and nourishing, regenerating and rejuvenating, effective for various skin conditions, Ideal for sun damaged skin, reduces dryness, helps fight the signs of ageing.

The oil is packed with antioxidants, including Vitamins A, B1, B2 and D as well as Omegas 3 and
is extremely rich in mono saturated fatty acids has high lecithin and potassium content, reputed to reduce the appearance of age spots, sun damage and scarring.


Jojoba oil:

Actually a liquid wax - similar to the natural sebum our own skin produces. Nourishing, reduces water loss, regulates sebum, contains saturated and non saturated fatty acids and fatty alcohols.

Promotes tissue and cell regeneration, repair and growth. An excellent emollient and moisturiser for all skin types


Rose hip oil: (Rosa canina)

Rich in anti oxidants, essential fatty acids and a source of vitamin A (retinol) and vitamin E , high in flavanoids and high levels of beta carotene which is a key nutrient for maintaining healthy skin and assisting skin cell renewal. Beta carotene also helps to protect the skin from various forms of sun damage.
It is famous for its regenerative qualities. This oil has a deeply nourishing effect on ageing and dehydrated skin. It helps dry, damaged and irritated skin and helps to visibly reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles.


Apricot kernel oil:

Used traditionally in Chinese medicine to treat inflammatory skin disorders.
Apricot kernel oil is rich in vitamins A,C and E as well as the essential Linoleic and oleic fatty acid it is excellent for use on sensitive and prematurely ageing skin. It has extremely nourishing qualities and is easily absorbed into the skin


Vitamin E: when applied topically vitamin E can reduce inflammation and even delay skin ageing.
Vitamin E is rich in antioxidants, it has the ability to heal the skin. It can be helpful in reducing dark circles under the eyes. It can also be used to treat burns as well as scars.

Highly effective in stabilising the skin’s barrier and minimising hyperpigmentation. It also helps blood circulation, which in turn boosts collagen.
This super ingredient also renews skin cells which keeps the elasticity of the skin intact.
