Glass-Framed Postage Stamp – Mitre Peak New Zealand
Captured between two pieces of glass, this frame features the beautiful monochrome stamp of Mitre Peak; Milford Sound New Zealand. A great gift for someone special or a special keepsake for yourself.
Constructed using the Tiffany method, both pieces of glass have been hand cut, smoothed, copper-foiled then soldered together using 60/40 lead/tin solder. The wire loops are made from tinned copper with decorative soldered corners and a slender chain for hanging. The little prism will create little rainbows around the place when the sun hits it.
The glass frame and wire loops measures 6.5cm in width, 7.5cm in length and 12.5cm in full length, including the chain and prism. The chain can be shortened or removed if preferred, just request and it can happen.
Super-packed in a polystyrene and bubble-wrap sandwich, this can be delivered anywhere within NZ as well as anywhere on the planet. Any questions just ask!
