Little Honey Bee
This stained-glass creation is inspired by busy bees and their important work. It's created using the Tiffany method of construction. Each piece of glass has been hand cut, smoothed and copper-foiled then soldered together using 60/40 lead tin solder. The hanging loop is created from Tiger Tail wire. Antennae is made from tinned copper wire.
Bee's wings use iridised glass which is made using metal oxides which leave a rainbow layer on the glass, similar to how oil looks on water, making the wings a real feature.
Measures 5.5cm in width and 5.5cm in height. When hanging by the Tiger Tail it measures approx. 14cm in length.
Super-packed in a polystyrene and bubble-wrap sandwich, this can be delivered anywhere within NZ as well as anywhere on the planet. Any question just ask!
