Wool Cape Coat - Blue & Gold Stitched Grid with Frayed Edges

The Cape Coat - How lovely to be wrapped in this on a chilly day. So elegant and easy to wear. The wool fabric has such a gorgeous texture and feel, it has a little structure to it but soft enough to drape beautifully. It is a lovely navy blue colour with a yellow gold (not metallic) stitching through it making the grid pattern (picture 4 has true colour likeness).

This fabric also has a slight waffle weave effect to it – I can only describe the fabric as sophisticated, you can feel and see the quality of it. The fabric was an end of line new purchase.

This cape coat is unlined, has binding carefully sewn around the inside of the neck and down front edges to neatly finish them off and the outside edges have been hand-frayed.

A special garment that can be worn casual or dressed up.
The two front pieces can be worn slightly apart, drawn together or even try one side flipped over your shoulder like a huge scarf or wrap. It can also be worn with a large belt around it, wear it your way, only your imagination limits you!

I loved creating this and carefully working with such special fabric:
- Wool Blend = Wool 80% & Nylon 20% (310GSM)

- Length from back of neck to bottom of hem 91 cm
- Side neck to side edge 51 cm

Sewn with attention to detail on both a straight stitch machine & overlocker and hand finished where required.
