Wool Ankle Socks Blueberry Ripple

A lovely pair of short socks designed and knitted by me, from scrumptious Corriedale wool with a speckle, plus merino in cream. I hand spun the Corriedale with my own two hands, on a little Ashford Traveller spinning wheel. What a lovely feeling to create something from the ground up, so to speak! And what an extra special thing to work with home grown fibre right here in New Zealand

The blueberry and vanilla is vibrant, and the lilac being hand spun there are some subtle hues and slight differences in thickness, which give the end product that special edge. Corriedale wool is similar to merino in fibre thickness, but with longer nap length, making it stronger and less likely to pill, and strangely, the end product is lighter and airier
