Macrocarpa Planter Stand with American Walnut Accent
This small planter stand is suitable for your desk or oriel window.
I shaved the American walnut strip to 1mm thick using a hand plane and bonded it to a finely planed Macrocarpa piece before shaping it to its size.
I hand-cut mortise and tenon joint and then bonded. It's so much stronger than dowel joints often used in factory-made products.
The half-lap joint in the centre is fitted firmly and will not be shaky.
Stand size: bottom 12.5 x 12.5cm, top 14 x 14cm
Height: 16cm (11 cm to the planter saucer)
Finish: natural oil and beeswax
* Please use a planter saucer or a plant pot with no drainage hole for this stand.
