Medusa-Head Starfish Linocut
This is a linocut of Aotearoa Echinoderms - starfish and sea-urchins of New Zealand which includes the Medusa-Head Starfish, Spiny Star, Comb Star, Sun Star and the Common Sea Urchin which I carved from a lino block then inked and printed by hand using my Intaglio Fine Art Printing Press onto Italian made Fabriano printmaking paper.
As each print is inked by hand then rolled through the press each one is slightly different. Here I have used kahurangi blue water based ink. The size of the printed block is 22cm high x 15cm wide and the size of the paper is 25cm high x 20cm wide making it easy to source a ready made frame. Works on paper are backed with card and wrapped ready for postage.
