A stunning one of a kind sterling silver (.925), Koru/vine pendant designed and hand made in New Zealand by local artist Don Campbell.
Set in sterling silver is an amazing piece of stained and polished maple.
Along the bottom are eight sterling silver and one brass stones representing a river bed and a textured free hanging piece in beaten and formed silver in which another Koru rests.

It is 70mm long and is supplied with both a sterling silver chain and a modern black rubber necklace for a traditional or contemporary look.

The spiral or Koru form is a traditional Maori design element meaning new life, new beginnings and family.
It depicts the opining of the fern frond bringing new life and purity to the world.
The reference to the river bed relates New Zealand's mountainous terrain and how life starts with the ferns along the waters edge and slowly moves up the mountain sides as trees like the native Pohutukawa and Kowhai take hold in the fertile ground created by the ferns.

This is a one of a kind piece so it will be removed from the gallery permanently when sold.
