These flower dangle earrings are inspired by 19th-century flower panels I found at the V&A Museum. Surprisingly although similar to the Tapa cloth flower patterns the flower is based on overlapping of four circles with the overlap creating the four-petal flower.

I created the panel from wax sheets, hand cutting and then texturing each component before inserting the flower into the frame. The surface of the flower petals is worked and textured. The flower panels are then gently curved to allow the pattern to be seen from various angles. I then cast the panels into a Golden Bronze and have hung them from handcrafted Sterling Silver Wires.

Handcrafted golden bronze flower panels dangle below Sterling Silver Earring hooks.

The earrings’ dimensions are W 1.5 x L 5 cm (W 5/8″ x L 2″).

Simple, unique and feminine.

Materials used:
Ear wire - Sterling Silver
Flowers - Manganese Bronze (Golden Bronze)
