sapphire and diamond forget me not earrings on sleepers

These sky blue flowers hold a lot of emotion for a tiny flower, everybody has their own connection to the flower but for me it’s simply the colour of a cheerful blue sky, the yellow centre; the sun and the subtle star shape; the stars in the sky.

I have hand pierced (sawn) these forget me nots out of sterling silver, then I have hand set the sapphire petals in a flush setting technique then star set the centre yellow diamond, this is hand engraved using my graver (a hand held cutting tool which uses my strength and control only, so there is no machine involved.)

I love engraving with a graver, the process, the simplicity, the skill and the result. You just can’t get that bright sparkle and hand crafted feel with laser cut or cast or roll printing techniques.

The flower measures approximately 9mm wide.
The sleepers are 10mm diameter.
