Kiwi pocket pal playset (felt toy)

Inside kiwi's tin nest you will also find:
* a soft brown woollen mattress with interwoven feathers

* a fabric leaf blanket
* an embroidered leaf plate with "rimu" bead fruits
* a clay egg

My kiwi playset includes a brown kiwi and a white kiwi inspired by Manukura, who was the first white kiwi to hatch in captivity. She had a very rare genetic condition that gave her her striking white feathers even though both her parents had brown feathers. She sadly passed in 2020 but it was a quote that I read in her memorial that resonated with me and inspired me to make this playset. Her memorial said that "she will always be remembered for reminding us that it's OK to be different, and to just be yourself. She was loved for her uniqueness and for being who she was".

Each pocket pal playset is embroidered and crocheted by me from soft 100% wool felt and wool/cotton yarns.The intricate felt pieces are carefully handcut from soft 100% wool felt sheets and handstitched with love using high quality cotton/satin DMC threads. Pocket pals are filled with new soft synthetic toy filling.

Tins measure 3.5cm deep and 9.5cm across and may vary in colour from the photo (i.e. silver or bronze).
Kiwis measure 4cm tall.
