Unique Jewellery Box

Local artist David J Gillard has created this one of a kind jewellery box. He designed this to have flowing lines and be very unique and have a feel of delicateness to it but still be functional for everyday use.
The five panels on the top section have had David's signature metal leaf patination which is made by using extremely thin gold, silver, copper leaf.
David delicately hand cuts out each 0.1 micro thick leaf and places them on each panel that make every art piece a one of a kind.

The New Zealand timber sauced.
The base is made from Macrocarpa.
Stem and top finial is from Pohutukawa.
