'Roa' - our cute Kiwi puppet!
'Roa' - another of our "Softies with Attitude"!
Just what you have always wanted - a cute Kiwi to play with! Made from high quality fashion fur fabrics and hard wearing velour for his long beak and gorgeous wrinkly legs and big feet which can be posed. His fabric is a long wispy fur with a moss coloured base and brown flecked tips. Darwin's theory of evolution certainly throws out some funky colours! Roa will fit an average adult size hand but please note that sadly there is only so much you can do with a beak and no wings - he is still great fun though. You can pop him over a drinks bottle or similar when not in use and he will look just like a soft toy sitting on a shelf. A wonderful memento of this iconic New Zealand bird.
He stands proudly 29cm tall.
If you like Kiwi we also have a smaller Kiwi called Rowi. He is available as a soft toy.
My soft toys are all made by me using patterns I have designed myself.
I have been making and designing collectors bears for 30 years and have designed soft toys for several leading international companies.
I take great pride in the finishing and face trimming of each collectors piece to get the expression 'just right'.
This special heirloom friend is made to be a companion for life.
ARE MY SOFTIES FOR YOUNG CHILDREN?
Sorry - no. Because they contain sew-on eyes and little beads for nostrils I do not recommend them for children under 5 years old. He also has pipe cleaners in his legs and feet so they can be posed.
I find my softies are sold mainly to older children or adult collectors who don't tend to chew on them!
CARE
Kiwi don't like like baths so we recommend a light vacuum occasionally. He might smile as he is ticklish.
If Roa has been very naughty and dribbled something on himself then a light surface sponge with warm soapy water will do the trick.
