On my walks around Mt Eden I have a habit of picking up Pohutukawa leaves due to their shape or colour. They are an endless source of inspiration with their shape and colour. For my pendant leaves I handcraft them in wax. The leaves are then textured on both sides to mimic the blemishes a native insect, a leaf miner weevil, causes and gives the Pohutukawa leaves their character. The waxes are then cast into Bronze. A patina is added to provide a variation to the surface of the Bronze to softly highlight greens, reds and browns. Each Leaf is unique.

The leaves are also available in Sterling Silver and also available set with gemstones.
