Botanical - Ceramic Brooch

Hand made in Christchurch this is a new design inspired by my leafy green garden.

I have pressed a tiny flowering plant into white porcelain clay. After the first firing, I carefully color the imprint and finish it with a gloss glaze. It then has a second firing (reaching temperatures of over 1200 degrees Celsius).

Brooch is approximately 45mm in diameter and fine 2-3mm thick. Pin on the back is silver coloured and has a security catch.
